Introduction.

Here I am listing all the Steatham signatures I have found. Baptism and burial records are excluded.

The signatures are from Wills, Marriages, and Letters and so on, and are in chronological order starting from Robert's will.

He started it all when Robert Steatham signed his will [LRO] on Wednesday the 18th October 1826.

It was eight years before we see our next signature, when Joseph Steatham, signed as witness for his elder brother Thomas Steatham's marriage [BCL] , to Hannah Barber, on Monday the 31st March 1834, at
St Martins, Birmingham.

Just over nine months later, Moses Steatham's Moses Steatham signed on his marriage [WHC], to Elizabeth Griffiths on Sunday the 18th January 1835, at St Matthews, Walsall.

Just over one minute later, Samuel Steatham's signed as a witness on the marriage [WHC]of his brother Moses Steatham, to Elizabeth Griffiths on Sunday the 18th January 1835, at St. Matthew's, Walsall.

Just over 4 years later, Joseph Steatham signed on his marriage, to Sarah Dangerfield on Monday the 29th July 1839, at St. John's, Wolverhampton.

He used the shortened form for Joseph just like his father did for his name when he signed his will (see above).
